Looking for a sauce to take your plant based sushi to the next level? Maybe you’re stick of the same old, same old veggie burger condiments? Or perhaps, you want your next coleslaw to have a bit more pizzazz? Have I got the thing for you! It’s an easy vegan wasabi mayo sauce recipe with garlic powder, ground ginger, lemon juice and more. You mix everything in a small bowl, and you’re ready to go.
Sure, you could buy an entire jar of vegan wasabi mayo at the store, but when you have each of the ingredients sitting in your kitchen, why not just stir them together? Plus, maybe you don’t need an entire jar! If you’re fridge looks anything like mine, there isn’t any room for yet another condiment 😆
This recipe makes ~3½ Tbsp of vegan wasabi mayo sauce.
One quick note, you can vary the amount of wasabi in this recipe. Wasabi has a way of building in intensity. As you take more consecutive bites of something smeared with it, you’ll experience it more and more. For this recipe, I felt the wasabi paste was perfect at 1 tsp, but my husband, who positively loves it, felt 1½ tsp was spot on. Different recipes, you might want it more intense and others less so. Do what works for you!
